Video Poker has become increasingly popular over the past few years with more and more players taking advantage of the flexible betting options available, big rewards on offer and ability to play multiple hands simultaneously.
It is easy to see why the game has come so far since its early days on the Vegas strip, with better graphics, animation and new bonus features, the game is more exciting and faster paced than ever, offering an experience worthy of any premium casino.
The game makes use of the traditional Poker hand ranking system so it is worth learning and understanding these before playing Video Poker for the first time. The hands are explained in order below:
Royal Flush – Five cards in the correct sequence, all of the same suit (Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds) eg: A, K, Q, J, 10
Straight Flush – Five cards in the correct sequence, all of the same suit eg: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Four of a Kind – Four of the same card, one from each suit, eg: 7,7,7,7
Full House – Three matching cards in addition to two further matching cards eg: J, J, J, K, K
Flush – Five cards all of the same suit though not in sequence
Straight – Five cards in the correct sequence though of different suits
Three of a Kind – Three of same card, one of each suit
Two Pair – Two pairs of the same card of different suits
One Pair – One pair of the same card of different suits

After you have placed your bet and chosen how many hands you would like to play, the action kicks off when you’re dealt five cards. You’ll need to hold the cards that you feel will give you the best possible chance of building a strong Poker hand. To hold any card simply click or tap the card of your choice.
Once you have selected the cards you’d like to hold, you can click draw and the dealer will deal for as many hands as you’ve chosen to play. Your held cards will then be matched against the cards drawn to build combinations of ranking Poker hands. The more hands you’ve managed to build by combining your held cards with the cards drawn by the dealer the more you’ll win.
As you’d expect higher ranking hands pay more so when you’re planning which cards to hold think about potential combinations and how your cards help build winning possibilities.
Our Video Poker games also have a Gamble Feature which allows you to gamble your winnings for even more potential profits. In a second screen bonus game, you will be asked to guess the colour of a card pulled at random from the pack, guess correctly and you’ll instantly double your winnings.
